Best Dad in the WORLD!!!!!

My Dad had called me earlier this week letting me know that he had sent me a package and to be looking out for it, and to call him when I opened it. So I have been watching the mailbox in suspense. Today it came! I called him after I had cut the tape on the box, but before I opened it. This way he would get my true reaction when I opened it.

It was Sundrop!!! As I have posted previously, I love Sundrop, but really miss getting it since they only have it in NC and a few other random states. So, my Dad being the best Dad in the world, sent me some Sundrop!!!!!!! I died when I saw what was inside! I was just beaming from ear to ear. I teared up I was so happy. Who knew Sundrop could do that to you! I think the fact of how sweet the act of sending me something like that for no reason but just because he loves me brought me to tears! What an awesome Dad!!

Thank you so much Dad!!!!

Speedo Time!

Today I was pulling into our condo, and had gotten out of the car, almost up the stairs, when i spotted this. Our neighbor who is in his upper 70's, was in the bushes trying to fix the screen on his window so that he could put up his Halloween decorations. I was really in shock mode when I saw him, and just kept walking. There was no way I was going to strike up a conversation with him. How awkward would that be?!It was just so random. I have never seen him in one of those. i felt so shocked and betrayed. We knew him one way but there's this whole other side: he's "one of them". I knew it was hot outside today, but come on!

This was my text t0 Ben:

"Okay, I think I may be blind now. I just pulled into the drive, and Phil was outside fixing his window screen in a neon blue and green speedo. It's things like that that make my day. Phil just gettin' it done in a speedo! Hahaha! Priceless. Needless to say I kept my head down and didn't make eye contact."

NEW YORK!!!

I am headed to New York tomorrow. I am traveling there (driving) from Fort Myers! Yikes! It's going to be quite a drive, but I love traveling, so I am up for it! I am going there with one of our youth workers and a great friend of mine, Maria! Her family lives in Long Island, so we are going to hang there for the week, and then on the weekend, we are traveling into Manhattan!!! I am so pumped about New York, cold weather, Italian food ( Maria's Italian), and just seeing new things! You only live once!!!

FOOTBALL!!!

It's that time of year!

Tonight, Ben and I went to the SFCA King's varsity football game. Ben usually would be at the Fort Myers High School football game serving as their chaplain, but they had an away game tonight so we go to go to this game! Ben was invited to pray with the team before the game, and then pray over the loudspeaker for the entire game.

Before the game, Ben encouraged our team to get together on the 50 yard line with the other team and end with a prayer. The guys followed through and all met on the 50 yard line, and it was an amazing to see! Really cool!
